CRIMES COMMITTED IN THE CYBER ENVIRONMENT ABOUT THE SITUATION

Abstract

The number of Internet users in Mongolia has reached 2.9 million. Of this, the number of active Facebook users reached 2.4 million. Out of this, about 2.2 million citizens use their mobile phones to access social networks, which is a high figure compared to the total population of the country. Following this electronic use, other traditional crimes such as deliberately and unjustifiably defaming others, misleading and deceiving users, spreading false information, and calling for illegal demonstrations and gatherings have been committed in the cyber environment. Through the research, the situation of this type of crime, its future trends, and the legal framework for combating crime were studied.
