САНСРЫН МЭДЭЭ, ГАЗАР ЗҮЙН МЭДЭЭЛЛИЙН СИСТЕМИЙГ ГАМШГИЙН МЕНЕЖМЕНТЭД АШИГЛАХ НЬ

: Disaster registration is conducted on daily basis in Mongolia however database of such
information has been kept as a soft version in computers of any of the specialists working on that and as
a hard copy and lying on the desks. Instead, if we bring some innovation-transferring all related data into
digital system applying geographical IT/database system, we will be able to track disaster occurrence, make
analysis on disasters, and upgrade the management on emergency actions.
In the scope of our research, we developed geographical IT system based on web, established
modelling management database with two key programs, inserting and retrieving data. As for geographical
database, we applied vector info of soum, province, national border, and centers while 1:1000000 scale
location map and digital data taken by 90 m digital elevation model of Shuttle satellite of USA were applied
as a fundamental and raster database.
It will be able to insert any disaster related info using the Internet into the geographical database
no matter where the location is.
In this article, a model used to create the disaster database, its structure, developed software, satel-
lite data, and analysis applied the new management database will thoroughly be explained.
