ГАЗАР ХӨДЛӨЛТИЙН ГАМШГИЙН ЭРСДЭЛИЙГ БУУРУУЛАХ ЗАРИМ АРГА ХЭМЖЭЭ

Abstract

The probability for large earthquake occurrence in the area of Ulaan-
baatar is comparatively minor to western part of Mongolia. However, last decade the
smaller earthquake activations have been occurred occasionally, particularly in Songino
and Sonsgolon - the western area the capital city.
Therefore, these parts of Ulaanbaatar are considered as the most earthquake acti-
vated area where one of the main region of the city so that these probabilities make
Ulaanbaatar vulnerable as the earthquake occurrence.
According to the satellite picture and research findings, the Tuul river bank consists
of fluffy soil as its texture that has approximately 200 kilometer some straight cracks
around Ulaanbaatar as to be high probability of earthquake disaster.
